In Greenland DTU Space models the Earth magnetic field

DTU Space monitor the Earth magnetic field and develop Earth magnetic field models for the Arctic region which serve different purposes. The models are based on data from satellites and geomagnetic stations on earth. DTU Space is monitoring the magnetic field with a network of  ground stations. An array with 18 stations at coastal locations and one on the Ice Cap is operated in Greenland. Geomagnetic data from such models are used for directional drilling, exploration by geophysical surveys, and other industry applications. DTU Space is cooperating with several commercial partners and customers.
