IAP Applications for the Arctic

Den globale opvarmning har været med til at åbne op for nye muligheder i de arktiske egne, blandt andet i form af olie- og gasudvinding samt skibsfart. Det har skabt et øget fokus på Arktis. 

  

Polar DTU afholdt i samarbejde med det Europæiske Rumagentur (ESA) workshoppen ”IAP Applications for the Arctic" den 12. marts 2012. Her blev der sat fokus på de muligheder, som satellitkommunikation, satellitnavigation og jordobservationer giver for at optimere arbejdet i de arktiske egne.
