The cooperation with the Faroe Islands and Greenland on pelagic stocks and corporate PhDs.

Greenland and the Faroe Islands work together on stock assessment and management advice of several fish stocks; including also pelagic stocks like mackerel, blue whiting and herring. Greenland Institute of Natural Resources and Havstovan (Faroe Islands) regularly exchange data (survey, fisheries data and statistics) about the species and perform joint analyzes about data quality and population modeling. Other activities supporting stock assessment and stock advice such as tacking data from fish, oceanographic observations and biological studies of food conditions are also included in supporting the ICES advisory work.

DTU Aqua and GN supervised until 2016 research collaboration with Greenland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Denmark on the North Atlantic included 8 PhD and Post doc carrying out research on pelagic fish stocks in the North Atlantic.
